How To Deliver Your Digital Product

When you create a product of your very own, you can do the work once and get paid over and over again. For example, what if you knew a way to play the guitar, you could teach people one on one day in and day out the same steps the same process to learning the guitar, or you could record a video or even an audio of you explaining to someone the steps it takes to learn a guitar.

What's great about that is you have created that information once but now anytime someone wants to learn to play the guitar, they can pay you money and get their product anytime of the day without you having to do any extra work, and you can deliver this digital product with a physical bonus by placing a download page online, by putting an auto-responder form on the download page, and even moving it into a membership site.

When I first started selling information, I immediately thought that I should print out any written reports and then burn any videos to a DVD. You know it sounds tempting, it's a really bad idea, because it means that it requires you to take some kind of physical action and put in some kind of physical cost - the DVD and the shipping and it means that anyone who buys from you does not receive their product instantly.

Instead of selling your product physically, you should put it online and it's very easy to do.

What you do is save your video or written report and put it online, upload it using a service called FTP to your web host and then create an HTML file that has a hyperlink to that PDF document. What happens is, someone pays you money, they are sent to that download page, and then there is a link to grab that PDF file.

Then what you can do is also sign up for what's called an email auto-responder service. What they will do is give you some copy and paste code you can put right on that download page, so that when someone pays you money and buys from you they cannot only download their report but they also sign up below the download link for updates. And if you have anything else for sale in the future, you can send them emails as well.

What you should consider in the future is finally putting it all inside of a membership site. For me a membership site is just a WordPress blog with a password behind it, and someone needs to pay money in order to get that password. Once they have access, now they cannot only get your download link but they can read any other content written or video you choose to add to that protected WordPress blog. And depending on how you set it up they can even leave comments or post in your private forum and discuss things like the guitar, like techniques, like songs with other enthusiasts who have also paid you money to get access to this download and this community.

There are many ways to deliver digital products, you can have physical components which you should not do at first, a download page which is the easiest, an auto-responder which you can use to send additional offers, and finally a membership site where you can provide your buyers with a full community.

Super Charge Your Sales And Retention By Using Loyalty Bonuses

When you sell digital products online, which is that someone pays money over the internet for a report, training, or set of videos, there's the weakness that if someone wants their money back you basically have to refund their money 100% guaranteed, no questions asked. Even if you personally happen to have a different refund policy, if someone really wants their money back they will take it.

Instead of trying to fight refunds, let's make the products you provide much more appealing so that people will buy from you more and refund from you less using loyalty bonuses.

These loyalty bonuses are great because it gets people to keep consuming content after your refund period, makes for a nice surprise with your customers and it helps you to keep in contact with them when you want to present future offers.

The industry standard for digital products on the internet is 30 days or 60 days, one month or two months after someone has purchased from you, they can get their money back for any reason at all, even if they consumed your entire product and just decided they weren't going to implement your system, they can get a refund.

What you can do is sell someone a particular product, then drip out what are called Loyalty Bonuses. Maybe on Day 15 you give them an extra bonus report, maybe on Day 30, 60 or 90 you present a group coaching call, a recording training call, or even some kind of one on one telephone coaching over Skype. Just the fact that you put something out there a few days or weeks after the refund period was over shows you were willing to go that extra mile to help them get results, and makes it much less likely someone will refund while they are still within that period.

Another thing that's great is that you don't have to necessarily announce these bonuses, even before they buy from you. What if someone bought a five part training course from you on real estate and as soon as they came to that download page and went to download their product, you announced an additional video that is going to come out one month from today, to make sure that they are still on track and still making progress. It makes for a nice surprise. And what if when they received that extra video one month from today, you announce that they will be getting another video one month from that point on. It's always great when we've paid for something, weeks or months ago, and an additional bonus pops up.

Above all the reason why you want to drip out your content, even if someone only pays you one time is to keep in contact with these customers. If someone is used to hearing from you, from email once a week and from webinars or other presentations once a month, you are always in their mind, and when it comes time to launch your next big course you don't have to build up that goodwill, that reputation, that rapport once again - you're already talking to them.

8 Ways Information Products Can Boost Your Business

The idea of creating a product or group program can be intimidating at first, but If you have ever written some articles, blog posts or materials for your coaching programs; or you have done research in your area of expertise and accumulated a good body of knowledge; and you haven't leveraged the materials to create an information product - you are leaving money on the table!

Information products or group programs are great ways to help you leverage your knowledge, time and effort so that you can:

Make money while you are not working - imagine when you wake up in the morning, or finish your yoga practice, even before you start your work day, you are already getting paid. Your ability to generate income is no longer solely dependent upon your "in-person, real time" availability.
Stop putting so many stakes on your discovery sessions with potential clients because private coaching is your only income stream - that's not good for your sanity! By having alternatives, you can have potential clients keep engaging with you even if they are not ready for your private coaching programs - you can give them something they can use to support their efforts, get a taste of your work and engage your higher-end services when they are ready.
Create an alternative entry point for your potential clients to enter into your world - some people are not ready to put down $1000+ dollars for a coaching program without first knowing you and your approach - and that's reasonable. Creating a product at a lower-ticket price can train your prospects to start buying from you, and opening your email (in which you promote your other services).
Fill gaps that are currently present in your business model, and capture more customers at different price points - some people may only be able to afford $50 for your products today, but if you build a relationship with them, they may spend $1000+ on your coaching program one day. Remember, those who have bought from you are 40% more likely to buy from you again.
Grow a high-quality list with a low-ticket item - you can create a special report and sell it for a few dollars, and in the process build a list of followers who are not signing up just for a freebie. They went through the trouble of pulling out the credit card and filling out the form to get your product, which means they are probably interested in what you have to offer and are more likely to buy from you again. You can create a sub-list of these folks, and start building a special relationship with them (e.g. they get perks, discounts and first dibs on your products and services).
Enhance your expert status - most potential customers view people who have written something on a topic the expert in that area.
Reach more people - you can help more people with your knowledge in this one-to-many model.
Boost Your 1:1 rate - by filling out the lower price point offerings in your business model with products and group programs, you can increase the perceived value of your 1:1 coaching services. Moreover, you are positioning yourself as an expert, and people pay more for experts.

How To Repeat Or Update A Digital Product

When you're creating your report membership site or video course, you need to realize that course is not going to last forever. What I mean is that for example, if you show how to use a certain piece of software, like Camtasia Studio or use a particular website such as Facebook or Google, that information is going to become out of date after a year or two.

What you are going to want to do is approximately every one year, look at your top selling information products and update them or recreate them. Look at what people are asking, what the demand is, and what kind of products your competitors are teaching about. And when your products get out of date or you get bored, you can easily go back and improve that course.

There is nothing at all wrong with taking one of your reports or membership sites and adding a Version 2.0 at the end, and scheduling a day or a week where you simply go through and create brand new videos making the content up to date.

For example, I might have a course teaching how to use webinars, and in the course of a year I might think of a few ways to simplify the process or I might find a new technique on how to use webinars. So what I might do is create a brand new version of the course. I might keep the curriculum the same, I might add or remove a couple of modules, but I will re-record those sessions that I had previously created.

Something I recommend that you do is increase the price and sell this new course for a higher price than the previous course and offer some kind of an upgrade fee for people from - for example, Version 1.0 to now upgrade to Version 2.0. If you use a membership site, you can keep this very easily organized using levels.

What you should also do is look at what people are buying since you released your course. Maybe it's time to promote the old course or promote the course and use that promotion, use that new money coming in as an excuse to create the new updated version of your course.

Finally, there's nothing at all wrong with retiring a course, or taking it off the market if it's not selling. For example, you might have a course about Facebook and Social Media, but you'll realize that for some reason or another your interest does not lie in teaching Facebook or Social Media so instead of updating this course after a couple of years, you will take it off the market and simplify your life and simplify your business.

How To Sell A Digital Information Product

If you want to know how to make money online, it's actually pretty simple. Everyone goes onto the internet because they need something solved or they need to find information.

We can call this a service or we can call it a product. For example, let's say that someone on the internet needs help fixing their back pain, they don't know what kind of back pain they have, maybe they've been to a doctor but they need some advice - not necessarily medical advice, but normal advice on how other's have fixed their back pain.

What they might do is go to Amazon.com and look for a book, they might look for a video course on eBay or they just might type their problems in the search engines. Maybe they know specifically what kind of back pain they have, or if they just search a generic term, but they will do a search in a search engine and end up on some kind of website. They might end up on a free blog or on a video site such as YouTube, but many people simply want to cut to the chase and pay $10 or $20 for a report they know will solve their problems.

Hopefully they end up on your site where you can show that you will solve their problems, but how do you get to that point where you're selling a digital information product online that solves problems? What you need to do is create your product, put it online and finally add a payment button.

Creating a digital product is actually very easy, open a word-processor such as Microsoft Word, type in 10 or 20 pages, you can add checklists, or bullet points, pictures, or hyperlinks to other resources, but create a simple 10 to 20 page report that explains some kind of how-to step by step system. Not just a list of tips or thoughts or advice or a journal, you're getting someone from page one where they have some kind of problem to the end where now they understand their problem, they know how to fix it and they have several tools and strategies provided by you on how to fix their back pain, how to repair house, how to make money on eBay, how to become a published author or any other number of problems.

Create that written product and save it from Microsoft Word to a PDF document. Then what you need to do is put it online, get what's called a web host at HostGator.com, get a domain name at NameCheap, and use their built-in file manager to upload your PDF document, and create two web pages. Create a web page where someone can click and download that PDF document and create another web page where you have a headline, perhaps a video, but some kind of a description of what they will get once they buy your report on whatever this how-to subject is.

Now the good news is that most of this can be accomplished with easy visual point and click tools where you don't have to learn programming, you don't have to learn a lot of software, install things or even hire someone to make the website. You can hire someone to make the website look better or prettier, but you have all the skills already to make a simple website and put it online.

And finally, to take payments, use a service called PayPal where you can get a button created. Someone can click the button and pay you $10 or $20 and after paying are sent to that download page where they can now download your report and consume it. And that's how you sell a digital information product. Create it, put it online and add a payment button.

How To Write Killer Headlines In Less Than 5 Minutes

Headlines do not sell anything, headlines just get the prospects to continue to stay on the page and hopefully read the offer. A good headline should aim to accomplish the following 3 things:

Calls out the target audience by nameOffers attractive solution to a desperate problemCreates compelling intrigue to prod further investigation

Unfortunately, we can't call out every single prospect by their actual name so the best thing to do is to focus on a specific highly targeted segment of any audience that we go after.

The simplest way you can improve a headline is to be more specific with whom it targets. Hint: target the most profitable segment of a niche!

In other words, you should focus on the most profitable segment of the audience that you're going after and write a headline that would call them out by name. Calling people out by their name only gets their attention so the second part of your headline should offer a solution to their problem.

But as you know, not all solutions are created equal! The better solution you offer, the better is your headline. Here's what makes the solutions attractive:

Instant Gratification - people prefer results now as opposed to later. So if you can promise to solve a problem much faster than what's normally accepted, that would be great.

Believability - how many times have you read a headline that had no credibility whatsoever because of the outrageous claims it was making? The headline has to be believable.

Ease - after reading the headline, you have to make the prospect think that is going to be easy for him to continue on than to leave the page.

Simplicity - don't mention the word "steps" in your headline. People don't want steps, they want a system because too many steps make it look complicated comparing to a system which represents the simplicity of it.

Convenience - the headline has to convince them that it does not take much effort and it is convenient for them to read the sales copy now instead of putting it off for later.

Redemption - how this can help the prospects by reading on to get back at somebody or something or prove somebody or something wrong. This one is not as generally applicable as the rest of them but can be used occasionally.

The final part, compelling intrigue - curiosity is a very powerful motivator. What if you said this: "Do you want to know a 13 word sentence from an article published in 1958 that immediately doubled the value of my copy writing skills the first time I used it?" I bet the copy writing prospects would be interested.

That's the power of curiosity! Your headline should go about how you can make this so interesting by not revealing something just yet, just hinting at it to get the person to read on because they have to know the answer.

You should always test at least two headlines at the very least. This is probably the most important thing thus far. You can have two very good headlines but sometimes there is no way to know which one will work better. Even after you see that one of them is converting better than the other, you still may not know the reason why is that happening. Sometimes you just can't control what is going to happen next, that's why you should always test.

The most neglected thing in any internet marketing business is split testing because it takes too long to set up, it takes too long to create the tests and it takes too long to validate the tests.

But if you use the right software, it will take you only five minutes to set it up and five minutes to create two different versions by taking version A, copy and paste the exact same thing for version B and only rewrite the headline. So the total possible time for split testing would be ten minutes, 5 minutes to set up the software that would do the tracking and five minutes to create two different versions. In order to validate your tests, each page should get at least 300 unique visitors ideally in a short period of time to draw any useful data from the split tests.

Now that you've learned all these great tips on headlines, you should start applying them immediately and go back and rewrite or split test your previous headlines for sales copy, squeeze page, email messages or blog posts.

If you want more tips on how to write great copy then I suggest you to read this article.

The Primary Characteristic of the Best Information Products

Here's a remarkable statement: There is a dearth of quality information products on how to create information products. I did a search a moment ago on the exact phrase, "how to create a quality information product," and there wasn't a single result. That tells me that few people know how to do it. In this article, I'm going to share with you how to get started.

I've read a lot of material and listened to a number gurus talk about how to create information products and, with the rarest of exceptions, nearly all of them have talked around the subject, but not about it. And I can only imagine that this is because they themselves don't know how to do it.

Of the few that do seem to know what they're doing, there is characteristic that is the best information products all have, and that is that they are evergreen.

What does it mean to have an evergreen product? Well, think about trees. What is the one thing that makes an evergreen what it is? Obviously, it's that it's always, barring a drought, green.

And the same thing is true of evergreen products. They always are and remain relevant. And for some reason, the majority of people struggle to create products that are.

You'll see all manner of products that are designed to solve an immediate problem - one that may only be with us for a few months.

For example, search engine optimization. I've lost track of the number of products that are designed to do this. But the truth is that Google, the number one search engine, changes the way it determines which sites ought to be at the top of the returns on a regular basis. By the time you've implemented one "trick" technique, the ground rules have changed, and the product is out of date.

The problem seems to be that those who want to create products have become fixated on what's already been done. Instead of thinking of something new or a new way of doing something that's evergreen, they adopt a "get rich quick" approach and look for a way to make something that will sell.

If you want to create products that will continue to sell over weeks, months, or even years, then you must take the time that's necessary to think about how this could be achieved.

What would your evergreen product look like?

Is My Information Product Good Enough?

One question I hear repeatedly when people are trying to build their own information marketing business, which means to write a book, write a report, and create videos, they experience a confidence problem. They worry if their information product is good enough for someone to pay $100 or higher, or for someone to pay $50 per month or more in order to gain access to this information.

These people might be guitar instructors, language instructors, real estate instructors, self-help promoters, and there are a few easy metrics to look at to decide if your information product is good enough.

First of all let the market decide and see if they buy your product, which seems kind of backwards, but I will explain in a minute. Also, look at what your competitors are teaching and simply do a better job marketing and teaching your product than your competitors and put together an unbeatable offer that someone would, for lack of better term - be stupid not to accept.

This seems kind of backwards, but if you're worried about your information product not selling, what you need to do is finish that information product, get it out there, get some traffic, get affiliates, get people to look at the offer and then look at your web page scientifically. Look at your sales letter so you can honestly say that after getting thousands of clicks to your website, your sales letter is converting at less than 1%, and no one is buying it or now I have to market it a little bit differently.

Many times I will put a product out in a product launch, it won't sell and I will have to go back to that traffic, or ask my subscribers what they need help with. Many times we make a product because it will be fun and not because we are actually helping people.

For example, if you created a report with a lot of dieting tips, is that really helpful or would it be better to create a 30-day course on how to lose 30 pounds by only exercising five minutes per day. That is a real problem that someone needs help with, but you need to put out your product as is for now to figure out if people buy it or not and then you might need to change the marketing or change the contents of that report slightly.

In order to save yourself a lot of time and aggravation also look at what your competitors are teaching. If you want to sell a course on guitar instruction, how does everyone else position guitar instruction? Do most of your competitors sell into recurring membership sites, are these single payment products, written reports with pictures, videos, do they present guitar playing as something that is fun or do they try to market it as a skill that someone might need for a performance?

Look at all these factors, look at the kind of product, how they market it, what's in the product, and the price point so you can figure out if you need to price high or low. And now all you really have to do is simply do a better job teaching and marketing than your competitor. Sure you might charge a slightly higher price, but maybe you can throw in some additional training or better training or better tools and templates to help people get the job done.

One thing I have found is that many information marketers will sell several small reports or several small pieces, but what if you were the person to sell the big giant course that solved all their problems in one place. So if you're worried if your information product is not good enough, then let the market decide, examine what your competitors are teaching and create an unbeatable offer that everyone in that niche will want.

Robert Plank will get your information product finished this week so you can start marketing it right away at http://www.makeaproduct.com/.

How To Price Your Digital Information Product

When you create a report or a video to sell online, the second question you worry about is what should I charge for this training that I have just created or plan to create. If I'm teaching someone how to repair all kinds of items within their home - is that something that someone will pay $10 for or $100 for?

If I'm showing someone how to create graphics using Adobe Photoshop, is that the kind of training where I should only charge $5 or should I charge in the thousands of dollars?

Now there are three factors in determining what to price your information product. Look at the price resistance, then price slightly higher than the competition, and finally examine what amount of value someone can get once they purchase and consume your information product.

I know that it's tempting to give away all of your knowledge for free, or give it away for one dollar or five dollars or ten dollars, but there are people out there willing to pay good money for good information.

I have sold many-many $10, $20, $30, even thousand dollar courses on how to program web pages, on how to write compelling sales letters for web pages, and many other topics. Every time that I price too low, I knew it. Every time someone would buy from me without even thinking. If I sent out a promotion or someone landed on my web page and bought in just a few seconds, I know that I priced too low.

What happens is, many people will spend weeks and weeks creating the perfect training course, and then only sell it for $5, and the reason is because people will buy based on it just being $5, not based on what it is that they have to gain from this product.

I want to tell you about something called price resistance, and that means that what you want someone to do is come to your web page, look at your price and then not be sure if they are ready to buy or not, examine your offer, examine what it is you're selling and based on that they will buy.

It seems kind of silly, but in the long run - you'll make more money. You might make slightly less sales but you'll make more profits because you priced at a higher price.

The next thing I want to tell you about is to price slightly higher than your competitors. The average person selling any kind of information online or marketing online has a confidence problem. They can only bring themselves to charge a few dollars for that thing they're selling.

What ends up happening is in comparison you will look better if in every single way somebody compares themselves to you, and the only difference is that you charge higher prices, then the perception is that you are worth more money. So look at what all of your competitors are charging, maybe even average out that price and then charge a slightly higher price.

And the final thing to look at, what overcoming fear of price, is to look at how much more value someone can get before and after they buy your course, before they buy your product.

I'll give you an example, if you have a product out there, even a short report that can show someone how to save a thousand dollars on their taxes this year, then how much is that worth? Well it's worth over a thousand dollars. If someone uses that report, they'll save a thousand dollars in taxes every single year after buying it. And so if you charge $500, $100, even $50 would be a bargain because the value they get out is much higher than what they paid.

Now sure, it might not have taken you a lot of time to create it, it might not have cost you a lot of money to deliver that product, but what you need to look at is the value someone gets after buying from you.

When selling a digital information product, you want price resistance. You want to charge slightly higher than your competitors, because you are selling based on the discounted value, discounted price they get from buying from you, and that is all that really matters is that you're solving their problems at a discount.

Get that information product completed and online today at http://www.makeaproduct.com/.

5 Easy Steps to Creating Your First Information Product

The idea of creating your own information products scares many who want to start their own online businesses. Why? Because they've never done it before. That don't know where to start. In this article I want to share with you five easy steps to creating your first information product. It's a method that I used to write a 99,000 word hardback book, and the same one I use now to create products for my online business.

If you experience any anxiety at all at the thought of creating your first information product, then you can imagine how I felt when I was given a contract to write a hardback book for publication. I had made some presentations about a tiny bit of the material that was eventually included, but at the beginning I had very little to start with.

If that's your situation, then I have some encouraging news for you: Creating your first information product is not as hard as it sounds. Here are the five easy steps that I follow.

1. Identify the purpose.

Before you write your first word, you need to have a clear idea why you're creating this particular product. It's not enough to say that you're doing it so that you'll have something to sell.

You need to think about who will use the information that you're going to share, and then write for them.

2. Jot down your thoughts.

I find this step especially to be rather a lot of fun. There's no structure. You just write down anything and everything that you think might be relevant to it.

I usually keep a folder for future products, and every time I think of something that I think would be appropriate for it, I write a little note and put it in that folder. Then when it's time to work on that product, all the information that I've gathered in the previous days and weeks is already there, waiting for me.

3. Identify the themes.

Remember that there's no structure yet. In this step, all you have to do is look at each sentence or section in your notes and then write in the margin one or two words that describe the subject. Do this for all of the information that you have collected.

4. Organize the themes into a loose outline.

This is your first attempt to make an sort of structure out of your notes. There are no rules, so arrange and rearrange the subjects how ever you want.

5. Connect the dots.

Move your text under the respective themes, and then connect your ideas together.

Digital Ebooks Explained

If you want an easy way to get consistent web traffic, get a steady stream of email opt-in subscribers, and make repeat passive sales, then you can think about giving away or even selling a digital eBook or an information product online.

You can sell it on your own in PDF format, or you can have some other service such as Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing sell it for you.

Which should you use? The answer is you should use both.

A very easy way to share some kind of information like a how-to manual, a guide, or a report is to distribute it as a PDF document. This is the standard for shared information on the internet. All you have to do is type up whatever information you want into a Word Document. This can include text, tables, images and so on, and then when you go to save it, choose file, save as PDF and it will save it as a PDF file.

PDF files all are guaranteed to look the same no matter who looks at them, they are safe and they are easily passed around. But at the same time, anyone who reads a PDF cannot edit it, they are view only. And what you can do is save this PDF, upload it to a web server, link to it from a download page, set up a sales letter, and then create what is called a payment button through a service such as PayPal, where someone can see your sales letter, click that payment button and buy, and then they are redirected to the download page where they can click on and save that PDF file and read whatever instructions you have.

These instructions can be anything from how to run ten miles without stopping, how to lose ten pounds, how to flip a house, any kind of information people are willing to pay money for, you can sell online.

You can also give away a free report which is very similar, it just means that you have your download page once again, and you have not a sales letter but an opt-in page, a page that explains your free report. And instead of having a PayPal button, instead of asking someone to buy, you have an email sign up form.

You can sign up for an auto-responder at a service such as AWeber.com, and what happens is when someone fills in their first name and email address they are then redirected to that download page where they can download their PDF report.

Whether you're giving a report or selling it, it's always a good idea to place it on Amazon Kindle as well so you can make sales directly from Amazon. Amazon takes either 35 or 70 percent depending on which model you choose, and again all you have to do is provide Amazon.com with your Word Document and they will format it for reading on any Kindle device, which includes the Kindle itself and the iPhone, iPad Droid device, or even a Mac or a PC.

If you are thinking about making money online and selling your information, all you have to do is save as a PDF, put it online somewhere, and decide whether you're going to charge money for it or give it away in exchange for an email opt-in.

Do you want to get your website set up within the next 48 hours or less including auto-responder sequence, sales letter, membership site, opt-in page and more? If so, go right now to http://www.newbiecrusher.com/.

Information Products: What Do Your Customers Expect?

Whether you're creating an information product, giving a speech, or recording a lesson, the first thing you must do is to consider your audience. For what person, specifically, are you creating this particular product? A good way to answer this question is to start by asking yourself what your customers expect. In this article, I want to share with you what I believe they want.

Have you ever picked up a book or read an article on the basis of the title, only to discover that what you expected was unrelated to what you thought you were getting? I have.

And that tells me one of two things: Either the author was just looking for a catchy title in order to sell more produucts, or had an axe to grind and hadn't really thought about how the two went together.

Information products seem to be created in the same way. The titles often promise a lot, but the product delivers very little. Here are seven expectations that I think customers have.

They expect:

1. Information they will enable them to solve their problem. Sounds obvious, I know, but I'm still amazed at how much junk is sold that makes a dog's breakfast seem preferable.

2. The solution will be presented in a logical, step-by-step fashion. Have you ever asked someone for directions on how to find a particular location? Have you noticed how many traffic lights, bends in the road, and other details get omitted. Same thing happens in many information products.

3. That the solution will actual work. A lot of so-called solutions tell you what to do, but either they are too vague to be of any use, or impossible to implement.

4. That it doesn't create other problems. The cure shouldn't be worse than the cold.

5. That the solution will be affordable; that the price will be commensurate with what it does.

6. That it will give more value than you've stated. I don't mean a bunch of useless bonuses that few people want or can use. I mean extra value that will enable the customer to get more use from the product itself.

7. That it will solve other problems that they hadn't thought of. Creating an online business may be relatively easy, once you know how; but it is complicated. For example, after you create one product, how do you figure out how to market it and deliver it?

4 Productivity Tips That Make Creating Online Content Effortless

I want to let you in on a couple of pretty obvious yet really helpful productivity methods that can help you produce your content quicker and easier!

Don't edit yourself too soon!

I regularly compose, record and mix my own music. I've produced podcasts and I regularly write articles and copy for blog posts etc. The point being that one of the BEST lessons I've learned that applies to all of these formats is to never edit myself as I go along.

Editing while you write is one of the best ways to land yourself with a serious case of writer's block.

The words you put on paper, the words you record or the instruments you capture don't have to be perfect, clear or grammatically correct from the start.

Don't allow the censor in you to interfere with the expressive part. Allow the expressive part to get all the raw ideas down any which way in your first draft.

Then unleash the censor in you to bring all of those ideas together in a coherent and structured way.

Don't worry about accuracy during the writing/draft process.

If you don't know a model number, barcode, statistic or other specific fact DON'T get distracted from your project to go look it up. If you're on a roll, in the groove - whatever - just keep writing or recording and leave an empty space. That way you won't interrupt your train of thought.

Get started - No matter what!

Simply getting started on a project can be a challenge in itself. Struggling to get those creative juices flowing? This tip will help!

This is a well known technique among writers and though it does sound a little ridiculous - it really works.

If you sit down to write a just cannot get started with any good ideas - you just start to write "I don't know what to write, I don't know what to write - I know how it sounds but it really won't take long before your brain unclogs and you're able to write something more helpful and descriptive.

Don't let other people see or hear your content while it's rough!

I would seriously recommend that you get your content down on paper, recorded or whatever and edited at least once before sharing it with anyone else. No mater how thick skinned you are, chances are the slightest criticism or joke about your work in progress could mean you change it for the worse... or even abandon it completely.
